Hype House

Method

Chase Hudson, Thomas Petrou, Daisy Keech and Alex Warren found the Hype House in December 2019 in Los Angeles, with Charli and Dixie D'Amelio and Addison Rae among the first members. Keech leaves in March 2020, sues Petrou and Hudson over credit and deals, and starts Clubhouse; the D'Amelios and Rae leave in May 2020, so the house loses its biggest names within six months. Membership peaks at 21, the group moves to a Moorpark mansion that Petrou says brand deals paid for, and Netflix airs a series in January 2022. The rung that breaks is rent and property: former landlord Daniel Fitzgerald sues in January 2023 for more than $300,000 in damage and unpaid rent on the earlier Hollywood Hills home, the Moorpark mansion lists for $5.5 million in February 2024, and the house dissolves in 2024.
