OpTic starts as a Call of Duty 2 team in 2006 and Hector Rodriguez leads it from 2010, building a YouTube first fan base. Texas Rangers co owner Neil Leibman forms Infinite Esports around it in 2017, Immortals buys that in June 2019, and Rodriguez reacquires the brand in November 2020. Envy Gaming absorbs OpTic in November 2021 and retires its own name in June 2022. OpTic Texas wins Call of Duty world titles in 2024 and 2025.
