GameSquare, based at 6775 Cowboys Way at The Star in Frisco, agrees in October 2023 to buy FaZe Holdings for about 17 million dollars in stock and closes on March 8, 2024, sixteen months after FaZe listed by SPAC at a 725 million dollar valuation. In May 2024 it splits FaZe into FaZe Esports, which it keeps, and FaZe Media, in which DraftKings co founder Matt Kalish buys 49 percent for 11 million dollars, and it sells its last 25.5 percent of FaZe Media to Gigamoon Media and the FaZe founders as of April 1, 2025 at a 39.2 million dollar valuation. It sells Complexity back to Jason Lake on March 1, 2024 for 10.36 million dollars, mostly a seller note, which D Magazine puts at 17 million dollars below the 2021 purchase price. The stock, 52.60 dollars in 2021, trades at 0.39 dollars on August 10, 2026 against a Nasdaq minimum bid deadline of September 7, 2026, so shareholders approve a one for eight reverse split on August 13, 2026 that takes effect August 24, 2026 and leaves about 12.78 million shares. Second quarter 2026 revenue is 18.5 million dollars, up 137 percent, with 1 million dollars of adjusted EBITDA and a 10.6 million dollar net loss, alongside an Ethereum treasury of 15,080 ETH; chief executive Justin Kenna tells D Magazine that some dumb money came into the space.
