Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal incorporate Rhett and Link Inc. in 2009 and rename it Mythical Entertainment in 2017, running Good Mythical Morning from a Burbank studio with YouTube advertising, brand integrations, merchandise and the Mythical Kitchen channel as income; the flagship passes 3,000 episodes and 19.5 million subscribers by March 2026. Mythical buys Smosh out of Defy Media's collapse in February 2019 for a reported ten million dollars and sells majority control back to Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla in June 2023 at what it calls a significant multiple, keeping a minority. A five million dollar Mythical Accelerator fund launched in July 2021 backs creators such as Jarvis Johnson. Long time chief creative officer Stevie Wynne Levine leaves in March 2026 and the duo move from WME to CAA in 2025.
