Method

Joseph Albanese and Kushal Byatnal launch Stir in October 2020 to consolidate creator income and split revenue between collaborators, with a 4 million dollar seed from Homebrew, Casey Neistat, Chad Hurley, Cameo's Steven Galanis, Jack Conte, Mythical and Michael Mignano. Andreessen Horowitz leads a Series A in February 2021 at a 100 million dollar valuation, and Stir launches Pay for brand deal invoicing and Stir for Managers that year with Freddie Wong, Mythical and Airrack as customers. Stir winds down in 2023 as creator fintech demand proves thin; the rung that breaks is distribution to enough paying creators. The 2023 shutdown and San Francisco base are unconfirmed.
