Twitch opens its tower at 350 Bush Street in San Francisco in 2019, built behind the preserved facade of the San Francisco Curb Exchange. Amazon, which announced its roughly 970 million dollar cash purchase of Twitch on August 25, 2014, cuts about 400 Twitch jobs in March 2023 under new chief executive Dan Clancy, more in October 2023 before TwitchCon, and about 500, roughly 35 percent of staff, on January 10, 2024, leaving the building well below capacity.
