Trusted Media Brands, the New York parent of Reader's Digest, buys Jukin Media in August 2021 for an undisclosed price. Jukin, founded in 2009 in a West Hollywood apartment by Jonathan Skogmo, licenses viral clips and runs FailArmy, The Pet Collective and World's Funniest. The purchase gives a magazine publisher a library of user generated video and a licensing business that pays clip owners.
