Nadeshot founds 100 Thieves in 2016 and Dan Gilbert invests in November 2017. Drake and Scooter Braun co lead a $25 million Series A in October 2018, a $35 million Series B follows in 2019 and a $60 million round in December 2021 values it at $460 million. The Cash App Compound, 15,000 square feet in Culver City, opens in 2020. Higround keyboards are acquired in October 2021 and Juvee energy launches in May 2022. Layoffs in January and November 2023 spin off Juvee and the game studio, and 12 more staff go in September 2025.
Open questions: Nadeshot's CEO end date is unresolved: a March 15, 2024 leadership announcement still names him founder and CEO, while Esports Insider in September 2025 reports he has not served as CEO for nearly two years and attends only quarterly board meetings, so the edge's December 2024 date is unconfirmed.
