Fred Seibert, producer of Adventure Time and The Fairly OddParents, founds Frederator Networks in New York in 2012 around Channel Frederator, an animation only network on YouTube with 450 million monthly views and 2,800 channels by October 2016, and Cartoon Hangover, which funds shorts such as Bravest Warriors. Rainmaker Entertainment announces on October 25, 2016 that it will buy Frederator Networks for 17 million Canadian dollars in shares to form Wow Unlimited Media. Genius Brands, now Kartoon Studios, announces on October 27, 2021 that it will buy Wow for a reported 53 million dollars and closes on April 7, 2022, when Channel Frederator claims more than 1 billion advertiser supported monthly views. The network continues as a Kartoon Studios subsidiary.
