Method

TikTok occupies several floors of a WeWork at One Nashville for several years before signing in April 2024 a lease of about 143,610 square feet across multiple floors of the Moore Building at 827 19th Avenue on Music Row, one of the largest Nashville office deals in a decade, as anchor tenant of the 15 story building owned by Portman Holdings and Creed Investment Co., placing music partnerships, sales and content moderation staff next to labels and agencies. On August 6, 2026, six months after ByteDance spins TikTok's US business into a joint venture about 80 percent held by American investors, the company announces it will close the office and lay off all 250 employees effective October 5, 2026 to streamline operations, after the building sells in July 2026 for just under 147 million dollars. The rung that breaks is a platform lease outliving the platform's ownership.
