Chris Pavlovski founds Rumble in Toronto in October 2013 as a YouTube alternative that shares revenue with small creators, and later moves headquarters to Longboat Key, Florida near Tampa. It lists on Nasdaq in September 2022 through a SPAC merger with CF Acquisition Corp VI. Conservative creators including Dan Bongino, Russell Brand and Dr Disrespect sign exclusive deals, Dr Disrespect joining on November 25, 2024. Rumble announces a 775 million dollar strategic investment from Tether on December 20, 2024, filed as an 8-K exhibit; it closes on February 7, 2025 with 250 million dollars of new money and a 525 million dollar self tender. Rumble reports 95.5 million dollars of 2024 revenue and 68 million monthly users in the fourth quarter of 2024, then 100.6 million dollars of 2025 revenue and 52 million monthly users in the fourth quarter of 2025, with an agreement to acquire Northern Data AG and its GPUs expected to close in 2026. The stock's 2024 run makes Pavlovski a billionaire in January 2025. In 2026 Pavlovski publicly signals interest in the collapsing StreamElements before Razer buys its assets in July 2026.
