Method
Rooster Teeth, founded in Austin in 2003, moves into Stage 5 at Austin Studios, the city owned film complex on the old Mueller airport site, in 2014 and produces Red vs. Blue, RWBY and its podcasts there with about 150 staff plus dozens of contractors by 2024. Warner Bros. Discovery announces the closure on March 6, 2024 with general manager Jordan Levin citing shifts in monetization, and winds the company down over the following months. Night buys The Roost podcast network, with 47 shows and 20 million monthly downloads, on April 9, 2024; RWBY goes to Viz Media in July 2024 and Burnie Burns's Box Canyon Productions revives the brand in February 2025.
