Monster wins a 293 million dollar false advertising verdict against Bang Energy maker Vital Pharmaceuticals in September 2022, and Vital files for Chapter 11 on October 10, 2022 after talks with Keurig Dr Pepper fail. Monster buys Vital's assets out of bankruptcy on July 31, 2023 for 362 million dollars, taking the Bang brand and the Phoenix, Arizona plant opened in 2019.
