D'Amelio Footwear launches in May 2023 as a direct to consumer shoe line under D'Amelio Brands, the Los Angeles holding company that raised 6 million dollars of seed money in September 2022 and a further 5 million from Fifth Growth Fund in August 2023, with a Sunset Boulevard billboard, a store at The Grove and a Lulus tie in rather than a wholesale account. It is the family's attempt to own product rather than license the sisters' names to Hollister. By 2026 the company says footwear production has wound down and the brand is transitioning to a new D'AMELIO mark, so it is marked dormant. The rung that broke was repeat purchase without retail placement.
