Method

YouTube Space LA opens in 2013 in Playa Vista, minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, giving creators above a subscriber threshold free sound stages, equipment and classes. The Spaces program runs about nine years, adding London, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Mumbai, Toronto and Dubai; Mumbai, Toronto and Dubai close in 2019. All remaining sites close in 2020 for the pandemic, and on February 18, 2021 chief business officer Robert Kyncl says the seven left, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Rio and Tokyo, will not reopen in favor of pop ups and virtual programming. The Hughes hangar detail is not in a retrieved source.
