Method

Soundstripe is founded in Nashville in 2016 by Micah Sannan, Travis Terrell and Trevor Hinesley as a subscription that licenses royalty free music, sound effects and stock video to YouTubers, podcasters, filmmakers and brands, paying its Nashville songwriters and producers for a catalog cleared for monetized video. It raises 2 million dollars from Craft Ventures, a 4 million dollar Series A, and on August 30, 2022 a 9 million dollar Series B led by Topmark Partners with Craft Ventures, Overline Ventures, Escalate Partners and Vocap Partners, a day after launching a mobile app. By then it has issued more than 10 million licenses to tens of thousands of customers in more than 140 countries with nearly 200,000 assets, employs 51 to 100 people and appears on the Inc. 5000. Jeff Perkins later becomes chief executive.
