Method

Hispanicize is the Miami conference Manny Ruiz and Angela Ruiz start in 2010 for Latino bloggers, YouTubers, journalists and marketers, run by Hispanicize Media Group alongside the DiMe Media Latino creator network, Hispanic Kitchen and Latina Moms. By its seventh edition in 2016 it draws about 3,000 people to the InterContinental in downtown Miami with the Tecla Awards and a DiMe creator summit. Ruiz leaves the operating role on May 31, 2018, the 2019 tenth edition moves to Los Angeles, and in late June 2019 John Leguizamo's NGL Collective buys the company for undisclosed terms and dissolves it into NGL Live and NGL Social. No Miami edition follows, so the corridor loses its only dedicated creator conference just before the pandemic; the rung that broke was ownership rather than attendance.
