Method
Colleen Ballinger creates Miranda Sings in 2008, tours the character from 2009 and lands the Netflix series Haters Back Off for 2016 and 2017, with more than 5 billion views by 2023. In June 2023 screenshots surface of group chats with minors; her ukulele response video becomes a meme, she cancels the rest of the 2023 tour in July and sponsors leave. She resumes vlogging in November 2023 to a much smaller business.
