Method

Abrams Artists Agency opens in 1977 and is taken over in 2018 by Adam Bold, who renames it A3 Artists Agency in 2019 and builds a large digital and alternative division that represents creators for commission. In January 2024 Bold sells only the digital and alternative divisions to Gersh, moving 25 agents and 45 staff, and leaves the other seven divisions and more than 100 employees without a plan. Staff begin interviewing elsewhere, partners Brian Cho and Robert Attermann sue Bold but have already given up control rights, and the agency announces in February 2024 that it is ceasing operations after 46 years. The rung that breaks is the sale of the profitable digital business apart from the rest of the agency.
